It’s a venture to document the day to day life and untold realities of undeveloped remote areas and areas where an extremist movement is omnipresent, of the states that lie on central belt of India.
This project aims to document the day to day life and untold realities of some of the most of the poorest district in the country in Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

Bhejaguda Market, Pandripani, Malkangiri district.
The girl in the fore ground is Jasuda, an eight standard student who is on the verge of quitting school. Laxmi Murjya, her mother has four children- three daughters and a son. The person sitting next to them is not a family member. He sells locally brewed alcohol at Bhejaguda market in Pandripani.
They are from Gotijodi village in Malkangiri district.

Pori is six years old and a student of first standard in Pandripani Govt school. Every morning she walks to Pandripani from her village Markapali with her father Somanat. He is a daily wager. He travels another 22 km, to Malkangiri, the district capital in search of work after leaving Pori at school. 
The school closes at 3 pm. So, Pori has to wait until her father comes, in a restaurant where one of Somanat’s relatives, Balram works.

Jaraikela, a village in Orissa, shares border with some area of Jharkand, where presence of Maoists is conspicuous. This is a family of Kondh tribe. In this photograph, Saraswathi was coming from ration shop. Poonam is her daughter, and on the sack, her son. Sister in law and mother in law are also present.
the man who is making the twine is Prafulla Dhol from Kosta village in Mayurbhanj district, which is one of the least developed districts in India. Prafulla Dhol and family are bengali origin.

This is Mahipani village in Rourkela district of Odisha. Mahipani lies close to Jharkhand and that areas of Jharkand is noted for Maoist presence.
A diwali celebration was going on in the village, which was postponed for two weeks as some people in the village were ill.
The woman who is drawing is Leelavathi and Barsa is her daughter who is following her.

On the lap of Ramesh Chandra Misra is Vishnu priya who resides in Narvadi area, which is a brahmin village, in Satpada in Puri district.
Ruchila Nath works in a restaurant runs by a Rajastani Brahmin. She is from Jaspur, Bhadrak district and reached Puri in searching of job after higher secondary. She wanted to be into accountancy related jobs. She is very affectionate about family, especially about her sisters.

These people belong to Bhumj tribe. They were celebrating Khoram festival in November, 2018. They performed rituals and dance in village in a particular home, then they walked as a procession to the near by Jungle to perform rest of the rituals where outsiders are not allowed.
