I stabbed him to death

“We always had water scarcity in our colony. When you don’t have water where you live, it messes your head up. After a long struggle, we somehow managed to arrange a pipe connection from the nearby hill. One day, I caught a drunkard who was trying to steal the pipes. I gave him a stern warning. He did not say or do anything then. But later, he twice slapped me in public referring to this incident. I live in a small house. I was sitting on the veranda. One day, he came there and slapped me again. This time, I had no intention to forgive that insult. I got a knife and stabbed him to death. I was sentenced for life. I spent nine years in jail.”
