Udit Pratap Immanuel Khosla and Alhibha Prativa Khosla were working as teachers in a missionary school in Girkanpalli, a small remote village even today. This village is located in the Kalimela block of the Malkangiri District in Odisha. They waited several years after their marriage before deciding to adopt a girl and a boy from the village where they were working. P.K. Khosla, the daughter they adopted, was twelve years old at the time, while the boy was less than ten. A few years later, she was married to a person in the same village.
As years passed, the parents were transferred to other villages and towns. Later they became parents to a son, and then to four more children, including two daughters.
I happened to become friends with Prince, the youngest son of Immanuel Khosla and Alhibha Prativa during his visit to attend the wedding of his eldest sister's grandson.
Udit Pratap Immanuel Khosla and Alhibha Prativa Khosla now live in Jaypore. All of their other children, including the adopted son, reside in and near Jaypore.
